VTeX at 7th European Congress of Mathematics

VTeX participated at 7th European Congress of Mathematics in July 2016. This congress was special for us – we had an opportunity to meet so many mathematicians. We provide services that are eventually used by many mathematicians, so it is essential for us to understand difficulties experienced by the authors.

We discussed LaTeX manuscript preparation process. We were curious if there is a need for professionally prepared LaTeX style packages and templates for academic journals and books. We also were interested weather authors experience difficulties while preparing bibliography. And of course, we got many opinions. But most of authors agreed, that it is beneficial when publishers offer templates and style packages for articles. Also, bibliography structuring tools help to prepare bibliography faster.

During the congress, we enjoyed being around STM publishers. We were happy to have a stand next to our partners and friends from Duke University Press and Project Euclid.
