If the author has initially used the tool, the publisher’s staff will not need to make corrections in the bibliography.
If the author did not use the tool, then editors from the publishing house can use the tool and immediately see where the errors occur in the bibliography.
A perfectly formatted list of bibliography not only increases the credibility and quality of an article, but it also enables the correct cross-referencing between published articles, so increasing their citation indices and visibility.
VTeX configures the tool according to the publisher’s bibliography requirements. The tool finds bibliography records from the uploaded LaTeX file, searches web databases for most respective correct versions of records, and puts the bibliography in the publisher’s style.

As an output, together with the modified LaTeX file, a separate file with its bibliography in BibTeX format can be exported. Missing or incorrect fields are indicated in the special note fields within BibTeX records. Authors may use these BibTeX files with correct records in preparing their subsequent LaTeX manuscripts.
It is important to note, that the service can be incorporated in the workflow before the submission of a LaTeX manuscript or in some later step, but before the author reads and corrects the proofs. Service/software can also be used by the publisher’s staff who check the bibliography at the journal’s production stage.
